Japan, Colombia and Korea!







First of all we are going to analyze the research “What makes management style similar and distinct across borders? Growth experience and culture in Korean and Japanese firms.”

The methods used in this research were:


-Empirical investigation
-Questionnaires
-Data collection via emails
-Interviews

The findings were:
Justificar a ambos lados
-Group harmony is an important principle of management in both countries
-Korean managers don't emphasize in loyalty and consensus as much as Japanese managers.
-Koreans are more individualist than Japanese
-Since Korea is more "family management oriented", Korean management never achieve a degree of "groupism"
-Koreans tend to emphasize on profit maximization more than Japanese
-Japanese are more active in environmental analysis than Koreans
-Economies of scale are more important for Korean managers than for Japanese managers
-Japanese tend to emphasize in customer relations and information exchange more than Koreans
-Japanese tend to emphasize more than Koreans in brand and trademark development


Now, we are going to talk about the Management Style in Korea, Colombia and Japan, therefore we are going to compare the elements of a management style, based on JanghoLee, Thomas Roehl and SoonkyoChoe. (2000)
